First Case of vCJD in a Haemophiliac:

On Monday 17th February 2009, BBC Newsnight aired a special report by Science Editor Susan Watts on whether the Government should be doing more to protect us all from the human form of Mad Cow Disease, vCJD.

The report discussed the breaking news that the Government were about to confirm that an elderly haemophiliac patient, who died of unrelated causes, was found at postmortem to have contracted vCJD from plasma products products used to treat his bleeding condition.

The report features campaigners Andrew March, Haydn Lewis and Carol Grayson.
