On Wednesday 17th December, 2008, Susan Watts, Science Editor, gave an exclusive report on the discovery of vCJD in a new human genetic group. BBC Newsnight has learned that doctors now fear a new wave of the human form of "mad cow disease" is about to hit Britain.
Campaigner Christine Lord, mother of vCJD victim Andy Black, who died a year ago this month, warned viewers that vCJD had not gone away. Christine Lord runs the campaign group Justice For Andy which have an informative website.
